Welcome!

My name is Andy Garboden

I am a Square Dance Caller and   Line Dance Instructor.

I started calling in 2006 and currently call for three clubs in the Seattle area and guest call for clubs throughout the Pacific Northwest.

My wife, Tricia, and I have been married since 1992. We have two children each, making three in total: Billy, Tracey (Colby), and Tiffany (Matthew). We currently have eight grandchildren - Mikey, Cheyenne, Theodore, Nora, Wyatt, Andrew, Bret, and Samantha.

We also enjoy camping, motorcycle riding, cruising, playing board games, and dancing together.

Have a look around my website and get to know me. If you want to drop me a line, you can always send me a note on the contact page.

2026 ALMON F. PARKER Award Winner

Tricia and I are honored to have been chosen as the 2026 ALMON F. PARKER Award winner!

According to the Parker Award Guidelines

The recipient of the "Award" has been cited for having done an outstanding job of teaching and promoting folk dancing as a wholesome recreation of young and old alike.

He or she is a member of the Folk Dance Federation of Washington and subscribes to its principles and the principles of folk dancing in general - that democracy and fair play are as important as having fun.

He or she taught both European (International) and American dances to children (or young people) as well as adults.

It is not to be construed that the recipient is the best or the biggest of anything. The cup is not intended as a prize of any kind of competition, but merely a symbol of recognition of inspiring work done in the field of folk dancing.

I would like to add that the nominations come from dancers and not other callers.

Tricia and I would like to thank those who nominated us. I know several people spoke with Dave and Sharon Boggs and yet others asked our nominees to speak on their behalf.

A special thank you to Georgine & Ron Woolcock and Donna & Tom Rohde for sending in our nominations.
